Billing and Plans

Plans, the 14-day trial, how posts are counted, extra posts, spend limits and what happens when a payment fails.

Billing is for workspace admins. Open Billing in the sidebar. For agencies, it is in the agency section. Billing uses Stripe.

Every plan has unlimited campaigns, creators and team seats. Plans differ by posts each month, how often views refresh and a few features.

Yearly billing saves 20%. Enterprise adds invoice billing and dedicated support. Email team@viewsbase.com for it.

What each plan adds:

  • Every plan: TikTok, Instagram and YouTube Shorts tracking, joining and applications, offers, referral codes, the leaderboard, the Discord bot and payment requests, fake-view checks, payout ledger and payout detail warnings, and email support.
  • Growth and up: ChatGPT and Claude through MCP, and the API.
  • Scale and up: Refresh now for one post, Export CSV payout files (including Wise and PayPal), the activity log, extra posts and priority support.
  • Agency: client workspaces, one overview of all clients, client read-only logins and branded client reports.

What counts as a post

You pay for the posts added to tracking this month that are not rejected. They count on any platform and across all workspaces on the same billing account. Rejected posts are free. Old posts never fill up your plan. The month follows your billing date.

Free trial

The first subscription of a billing account starts with a 14-day free trial that includes every feature. Stripe asks for your card when you pick a plan. You are charged when the trial ends. Cancel before then and you pay nothing. A trial that ends without a card is cancelled. Plan changes during the trial are free.

When you go over your plan

ViewsBase warns the billing owner by email, and shows a banner, at 80% and at 100% of your posts.

  • Starter and Growth. After 100%, new posts keep counting for a short grace period. It ends at 150% of the plan or 14 days after the first extra post, whichever comes first. Then new posts pause until you upgrade. Posts you already track keep updating, and payouts keep working.
  • Scale and Agency. The same, unless you turn on extra posts.

Extra posts

On Scale and Agency, you can turn on extra posts on the billing page. It is off by default and not available during the trial.

  • Every post above your plan is billed at $3 per 100 extra posts ($30 per 1,000), in blocks of 100, rounded up once each billing month. 1 extra post costs $3, 101 cost $6.
  • There is no ceiling by default. New posts never pause for volume.
  • Turn it off at any time. Posts from then on are not billed.

Spend limit. You can set an optional monthly limit for extra posts in whole dollars, from $3. The form shows how many blocks of 100 posts it allows. ViewsBase emails you at 80% and 100% of the limit. At the limit, new posts pause until you raise or clear it. Posts inside your plan never pause because of it.

Change or cancel

Change plans on the billing page.

  • Upgrade, or monthly to yearly: starts now. Stripe charges the difference for the rest of the period. If the payment does not go through, the plan does not change.
  • Downgrade, or yearly to monthly: starts when the current period ends. Choose the keep button for your current plan to cancel the change.
  • Cancel: your plan ends at the end of the period. Choose Keep my plan to undo it.

Manage billing opens Stripe, where you update your card and billing details, see invoices and cancel.

When a payment fails

Stripe retries the card for up to 30 days.

  • Days 0 to 14: full access. A banner says to update your card and counts the days left.
  • From day 14: the workspace is read-only until a payment goes through. Tracking pauses and changes are refused. You can still see your data. ViewsBase emails the billing owner when this starts.
  • A successful payment restores full access at once. You do nothing else.
  • Day 30: Stripe cancels the subscription. The workspace stays read-only until you pick a new plan.

A workspace whose plan has ended is read-only in the same way.

Agency billing

An agency has one bill for all its client workspaces. The 7,500 posts of the Agency plan are shared across them. Client workspaces need the Agency plan. See Roles & Permissions.
