Referral Program Terms

What this program is

Campaigns on ViewsBase can offer creators a commission on sales attributed to their personal referral code. The program is offered and funded by the brand running your campaign and tracked through ViewsBase. These terms apply whenever a campaign you are part of has referral commissions enabled, alongside any offer terms you already have with the brand.

Your code

  • You get one code per campaign: exactly six letters or numbers, chosen by you in your dashboard.
  • Claiming is permanent. Codes cannot be renamed, transferred, sold, or swapped, and they are first come, first served.
  • Codes that impersonate another creator or brand, squat on someone else's name, or contain offensive content can be revoked.

How sales are attributed

  • A sale counts as yours when a customer enters your code where the app asks for one, and the brand's tracking systems match that customer's purchases to your code.
  • The first valid code a customer enters wins. Later code entries by the same customer do not reassign them.
  • Tracking is never perfect. Installs and purchases that cannot be matched to your code are not attributed and are not payable. Attribution as recorded by the tracking systems is final.

Commission

  • Commission is earned on each referred customer's first purchase only — the first time they actually pay. When a free trial converts to a paid plan, that first charge is the first purchase. Renewals and later purchases are tracked for the brand but do not earn additional commission.
  • The standard rate is 80% of the first purchase. The brand running your campaign can set a different rate, communicated in your dashboard, campaign brief, or campaign announcements. Rates can differ between campaigns and between creators.
  • Launch, promotional, or boosted rates apply only for their stated period and only to sales attributed during that period.
  • Commission is calculated net of refunds, chargebacks, and payment-provider adjustments. If the first purchase is refunded, its commission is removed; a later renewal does not replace it.

Payouts

  • Commissions are paid with your regular payment cycle for the campaign.
  • A sale becomes payable only after it clears the refund window. Refunded or charged-back purchases are removed from your balance — including, if already paid out, by deduction from your next payout.

Fair play

No purchases through your own code. No paying, rebating, or otherwise compensating people to sign up. No misleading claims about the app or the offer. No bots, bought traffic, or anything else that games attribution. Breaking these rules forfeits unpaid commissions and can end your participation in the campaign.

Changes and cancellation

  • The brand can change commission rates or attribution rules, or pause or end the referral program, at any time.
  • Changes apply going forward: commissions on sales attributed before a change stay payable at the rate that applied when the sale happened.
  • Material changes will be announced before they take effect where reasonably possible.

No guarantee

The program does not guarantee any level of earnings. Unless your offer says otherwise, referral commissions are separate from and in addition to any CPM or fixed-fee agreement you have with the brand.

Taxes

You are responsible for any taxes owed on commission income in your jurisdiction.
